Across the Spanish Main

It's the end of the sixteenth century, and England is at war with Spain, when Roger Trevose -- of Pentillie Manor, on the river Tamar, in Devon -- and his friend Harry Edgwyth decide to become "Gentleman Adventurers" (sort of like a pirate, but within the law, since the crown would authorize just about anybody to go after the enemy). They set out to chase and capture Spanish treasure ships, rich with the booty of the New World. But you got to know no good comes from that, don't you? Well, some good might, but not without its challenges. Like being captured by a famous pirate, and later being sentenced to death by burning by the Inquisition. . . .
